Unanchored, Unaccented & Unbounded is an innovative contemporary art exhibition conceived by a collective of master's students, delving into the critical contemporary issues of memory, migration, displacement, identity, and transformation. A metamorphosis — acting as cartographies of memory and transformation — this exhibition aims to explore how individual and collective identities are redefined through the experience of liminality and displacement. Our curatorial approach assembles international artists whose diverse practices—painting, textile art, video, installation—engage in a dialogue to reveal the complexities of the experience of the human condition through forced movement, cultural hybridity, and the reconstruction of narratives of belonging. The exhibition offers an immersive journey, where physical and digital experiences converge: interactive installations utilizing augmented reality, immersive sound environments, and devices for direct public engagement. We intend to create a space for reflection where visitors can experience and interrogate narratives of displacement. |
